Being an engineer and hacker, creating apps that are good enough to let me use my data in the minimum viable, least waste way, and having recognized the power of chatbots to supercharge the process, how to add AI to InnovConfig? Following my serendipitous discovery, I recognized some opportunities.
This was the PLAN
- Get CoPilot to help write AML
- Give Copilot the AML Protocol, presciently authored in xhtml.
- Add a VS Code task to send the AML to Innovator and show the result

- Just a minute, why not give GitHub Copilot all the public documentation?
- GitHub Copilot doesn’t play well with binary pdf, but it wrote and executed a python script to extract and summarize text.
- And files from Client/javascript too, so good looking that it looks like a client API.
- And give Copilot repo documentation and insightful chats too.
This little spell worked almost as well as a similar approach in NotebookLM, and it’s all within VSCode!
